Review: Gloves Erotic

I am starting with Gloves Erotic.

I’ve been drawn to this site for a while; it’s got great looking women, lots of gloves, stockings, hosiery, corsets, and gloves. Did I mention the gloves?

This web site is dedicated to the glove fetishist. It has everything a glove lover could want: satin gloves, leather gloves, nylon gloves and many, many more. There were also some style of gloves I had not seen before.

At the time of the writing of this review, Gloves Erotic had nearly 300 galleries of gloves, containing, on average, over 100 pictures each. This means they have in neighborhood of 3,000 photos and growing weekly and nearly 50 videos.

The website has a basic lay out. Once you log in, it is laid out in rows of three thumbnails to preview the gallery. There are two pages at the moment, one page has all the current galleries, and one is an “archive” page. I have one complaint about the overall simple layout of the site… You can’t click on the thumbnails! While it’s a small thing over all, I think it is web-instinct to click on the image to get either a larger image, or more images.

While I’m on the subject of layouts, I did have a couple of things that bugged me about the layout, first and foremost there are no “zip” downloads. When you have a gallery of 100+ images, entire gallery downloads in one file are a must. From a design standpoint they produce less traffic, and from a customer standpoint they produce less work to save the gallery you want.

There was also no way to easily move on to the next gallery, or the next image for that matter. It takes 4 clicks just to save one image. Not a huge deal in of itself, but when you have 100 images that’s at least 400 clicks to download all the images, instead of one or two to download the zip file.

I was sad to see there were no forums, where people could talk about this week’s content or their favorite gallery, feedback is essential for a web developer, I think in this day have a forum of some kind is a must.

Over all though, even with my few complaints about the site, navigation is a breeze, and moving around on the site is not difficult at all. Sometimes simple wins!

Now on to the content..

For the most part the previews of the site are spot on. There’s lots of girl on girl action, as well as some glove jobs, some gloved blowjobs, some fisting, a bit of female domination, masturbation and toys, and even some smoking for you smoking fans out there.

The pictures are roughly 800x1200 pixels, so a good, high resolution, and very good quality. The pictures are well lighted, and you can see the gloves very well through most of the images, as you’d expect.

A typical gallery starts off with two women, starts with them next to each other, then one of each, then gets on to the nitty-gritty. 

The videos come in two types, Real Player, and Windows Media, the Windows Media are in “HD.” The videos are about 10 minutes in length and over all good quality. The only downside to the video is that they only speak German. Which isn’t so bad, but would have loved some subtitles or something. When two girls are giggling about putting on corsets and stuff, I wouldn’t mind knowing what they’re giggling about.

I do wish the videos were in H.264 instead of Real or Windows Media; it would have resulted in better picture and higher compression, and would be more compatible.

Over all I really enjoyed my time on the site.
